EFI Electronic Fuel Injection — Reliable Starts in Any Weather, Any Altitude

EFI Electronic Fuel Injection — Reliable Starts in Any Weather, Any Altitude

The Tank 200 EFI runs a 168.9cc ECU-controlled Electronic Fuel Injection system. Cold mornings, damp weather, higher altitudes — the ECU adjusts fuel delivery automatically, eliminating the cold-start failures, manual choke routines, and seasonal jet adjustments common to carbureted Competitor A, Competitor B, and Competitor C at this displacement.

EFI means the bike starts on the first try, every time, with less maintenance over the long run.
168.9cc EFI Engine + 1.85-Gallon Fuel Tank — Power and Range That Go the Distance

168.9cc EFI Engine + 1.85-Gallon Fuel Tank — Power and Range That Go the Distance

The 168.9cc air-cooled 4-stroke EFI engine produces 7.0 kW of power and 11.0 N·m of torque (vs. 9.6 N·m on Competitor A) with a top speed of 55+ MPH. The 1.85-gallon fuel tank provides approximately 47% more capacity than typical 1.26-gallon competitors at this displacement, extending range to an estimated 130–165 miles per tank at typical commuting speeds (65–70 MPG estimated).

More torque and a meaningfully larger tank — fewer gas stops, longer routes, less commute friction.
Factory Windscreen + Standard Handlebar Guards — Rider Protection Built In

Factory Windscreen + Standard Handlebar Guards — Rider Protection Built In

A factory-installed small windscreen sits in front of the rider, deflecting airflow away from the chest and arms at city commuting speeds (25–45 MPH) and providing a partial barrier against light rain splash and road debris. Protective handlebar guards on both handlebar ends shield hands from wind chill, light impact, and road debris. Both are standard equipment — competing 200cc-class mopeds at this price typically ship without them.

Standard rider protection competing 200cc mopeds make you buy and install yourself.
Hydraulic Front Disc + Dual Rear Shocks + CVT Automatic — Stop Safely, Ride Smoothly

Hydraulic Front Disc + Dual Rear Shocks + CVT Automatic — Stop Safely, Ride Smoothly

The hydraulic front disc brake delivers confident, proportional stopping force at all speeds, paired with a rear drum brake for smooth deceleration. Dual rear coil-over shock absorbers paired with the upright telescopic front fork absorb road imperfections — seams, potholes, broken pavement. Fully automatic CVT belt drive: no clutch, no gear shifts. The complete street-legal safety package includes full LED head/tail/turn lighting, reflectors, horn, kill switch, hand brake, and LCD speedometer.

Everything required for legal, comfortable street operation is included from the factory.

Rider Fit Guide

Tank 200 EFI Rider Fit Guide
Recommended Age 18 years and older (motorcycle license or endorsement required in most states)
Recommended Height 4'10" to 6'2" (147–188 cm)
Maximum Weight Capacity 331 lb (approx. 150 kg)
Seat Height 29.5 inches
Suitable Riding Environments City streets, suburban roads, campus areas — on-road street-legal use in 48 states (not CA)

We built the Tank 200 EFI for adult daily commuters who want all-weather reliability — riders who deal with cold mornings, damp weather, or higher altitudes where carbureted competitors struggle. The 168.9cc EFI engine reaches 55+ MPH and handles city streets and suburban roads up to 45 MPH speed limits with confidence. The 331 lb max load capacity fits riders up to about 290 lb plus cargo. At a low 29.5-inch seat height, riders from 4'10" to 6'2" can comfortably reach the ground with both feet — one of the lowest seat heights in the 200cc category. A motorcycle license is required. Not available in California.

Not Recommended For:

California residents — this moped is NOT CARB certified and cannot be legally sold, registered, or operated in California. Riders without a motorcycle license — a motorcycle license or endorsement is required to operate a 168.9cc moped on public roads in most U.S. states. Riders who require a rear storage trunk — the Tank 200 EFI does not include a trunk; if rear storage is a priority, consider a model that includes trunk accessories. Riders who need highway speeds above 55 MPH — the Tank 200 EFI tops out at 55+ MPH and is designed for city streets and suburban roads, not sustained freeway riding.

A motorcycle license or endorsement is required for public road operation in most U.S. states. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and full protective gear — not included. This vehicle is NOT CARB certified — not for sale or use in California. Never exceed the 331 lb maximum load capacity. Do not carry passengers.

Key Features
EFI Electronic Fuel Injection — Starts Reliably in Any Weather, Any Altitude: We engineered the Tank 200 EFI around a 168.9cc ECU-controlled Electronic Fuel Injection system. The result: the bike fires up instantly on cold mornings, in damp weather, and at higher altitudes where carbureted competitors frequently struggle or fail entirely. EFI also means no carburetor jets to clean, no float bowl to drain, no manual choke to fiddle with — the ECU adjusts fuel delivery automatically for the air-fuel ratio that conditions demand. EPA & DOT certified for legal street riding in 48 states (NOT California).
168.9cc EFI Engine + 1.85-Gallon Fuel Tank — Power and Range That Go the Distance: The 168.9cc air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder EFI engine delivers 7.0 kW of power and 11.0 N·m of torque, with a top speed of 55+ MPH for confident city riding. The 1.85-gallon fuel tank provides approximately 47% more fuel capacity than typical 1.26-gallon competitors at this displacement — extending your range between fill-ups to an estimated 130–165 miles per tank at typical commuting speeds. Fewer gas stops, longer routes, less commute friction.
Small Factory Windscreen Included — Less Wind Fatigue, More Comfortable Daily Rides: A factory-installed small windscreen sits in front of the rider, deflecting airflow away from your chest and arms during city riding. The result is reduced wind pressure at commuting speeds (25–45 MPH), less fatigue on longer routes, and a partial barrier against light rain splash and road debris. Most competing 200cc-class mopeds at this price simply do not include a windscreen — it is an aftermarket add-on. On the Tank 200 EFI, it is standard.
Hydraulic Front Disc Brake + Dual Rear Shocks + CVT Automatic — Stop Safely, Ride Smoothly: The hydraulic front disc brake provides confident, proportional stopping power at all speeds, paired with a rear drum for smooth deceleration. Dual rear coil-over shock absorbers paired with the upright telescopic front fork absorb road imperfections — seams, potholes, broken pavement — for a measurably smoother ride. Fully automatic CVT belt drive means no clutch operation and no gear shifts: twist the throttle and go.
Reliable U.S. Support, Ready Parts: As a licensed U.S. motorcycle dealer with 20+ years in business, two company-operated warehouses in California and Texas, and a dedicated local team, we keep full replacement parts in stock and ready to ship — so help is there when you need it.
Description

We built the X-PRO Tank 200 EFI for adult riders who want a serious all-weather commuter in the 200cc class — one that starts reliably in any conditions, carries a real fuel range, and ships with rider-protection features competing mopeds at this price simply do not include. The Tank 200 EFI runs a 168.9cc air-cooled 4-stroke EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) engine through a CVT automatic transmission: no clutch, no shifting, no carburetor maintenance. It is EPA and DOT certified, making it street-legal in 48 U.S. states (not California). At $1,329.95, it stands out in its category through measurable, factory-installed advantages: EFI fuel injection (vs. carbureted competitors), a 1.85-gallon fuel tank (vs. typical 1.26-gallon), a factory windscreen, and standard handlebar guards.

EFI Reliability. Bigger Tank. Standard Rider Protection.

The EFI advantage is what you notice first — the bike starts on the first try, every time, regardless of temperature, humidity, or altitude. Carbureted 200cc-class mopeds (Competitor A, Competitor B, Competitor C) all rely on float bowls and jets that can foul, gum, or require seasonal tuning. The Tank 200 EFI's ECU adjusts fuel delivery automatically — there is no choke to remember, no priming routine, no cold-morning frustration.

168.9cc EFI Engine + Complete Street-Legal Package

The 168.9cc engine delivers 7.0 kW of power and 11.0 N·m of torque — top speed exceeds 55 MPH under typical conditions, well-suited to city streets and suburban roads with speed limits up to 45 MPH. The 1.85-gallon fuel tank provides an estimated 130–165 mile range at typical commuting speeds (65–70 MPG estimated) — meaningfully more than the 1.26-gallon tanks common on Competitor A and Competitor B. The complete street-legal safety package: hydraulic front disc brake, rear drum, full LED head/tail/turn lighting, reflectors, horn, kill switch, hand brake lever, and LCD speedometer. Maximum load capacity is 331 lb. Available in four colors: Matte Black, Matte Blue, Red, and White.

Windscreen + Handlebar Guards — Standard, Not Aftermarket

Two rider-protection features set the Tank 200 EFI apart in this price tier: a factory-installed small windscreen that deflects airflow away from your chest and arms at commuting speeds, and protective handlebar guards on both handlebar ends that shield your hands from wind chill, light impact, and road debris. These are not aftermarket add-ons — they ship from the factory standard. Note: 'Tank 200' refers to the 200cc engine class category; actual displacement is 168.9cc, the standard industry convention for this engine platform.

IMPORTANT: The X-PRO Tank 200 EFI is EPA and DOT certified for street-legal operation in 48 U.S. states. This vehicle is NOT CARB certified — it cannot be legally sold, titled, registered, or operated in California. A motorcycle endorsement or motorcycle license is required in most U.S. states for a 168.9cc moped — check your local DMV before riding. Top speed of 55+ MPH is suitable for city streets and suburban roads up to 45 MPH speed limits; not recommended for sustained highway use.

X-PRO has operated in the U.S. powersports market for over 20 years as a licensed motorcycle dealer. When you buy the Tank 200 EFI, you are buying from a dealer with two company-owned warehouses in California and Texas, a U.S.-based support team, and full OEM replacement parts stocked before the vehicle goes on sale. Frame warranty: 1 year. Parts and battery warranty: 90 days — substantially longer than the 30-day coverage offered by most competing 200cc-class brands. Support is handled in-house — not routed to an overseas contact form.

Before You Buy

California Residents — Do Not Purchase

This vehicle does not meet California Air Resources Board (CARB) emission standards and is not for sale or use in the state of California. California residents should not purchase this vehicle.

1 · Stay Connected — We Need to Reach You

After your order ships, our team will contact you by phone and email to coordinate delivery. Answer calls from unfamiliar numbers — our team and your carrier may call from numbers you don't recognize. Check your email daily, including your spam folder, until your vehicle arrives. Without a valid, reachable contact number, your carrier cannot complete delivery. If we cannot reach you, your order may be returned at your expense.

2 · Shipping & Delivery — LTL Freight

Your vehicle ships via LTL (Less-than-Truckload) freight from our U.S. warehouse. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment — make sure your contact information is current. Large freight trucks cannot enter narrow roads or tight residential areas. You must meet the driver at an accessible point, or arrange terminal pickup if needed. Inspect the vehicle carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If damage is found, note it on the receipt and contact us immediately with photos.

3 · Assembly & Setup

Professional mechanic assembly is highly recommended. Improper DIY assembly voids safety guarantees and can lead to mechanical failure — incorrect assembly is one of the leading causes of early issues with new vehicles. Regardless of who assembles it, you must tighten all bolts and apply thread-locker (Loctite) before the first ride. Vibration will loosen factory settings during use, causing parts to fall off or break. This is a required pre-ride step, not a defect.

4 · Engine Maintenance — Gas Models (EFI)

Change the engine oil before your first ride — factory fill is a break-in oil not suitable for extended use. Skipping this step is the leading cause of engine seizure on new vehicles. Use 10W-40 4-stroke motorcycle oil and 87+ octane fresh fuel only. Because this is an EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) system, do not pour aftermarket additives or carburetor cleaners into the fuel tank — they can damage the injectors. Do not use high-pressure washers near engine, ECU, or electrical components. Drain fuel for long-term storage. Store in a dry area.

5 · Real-World Performance

Top speed and power output are measured under optimal conditions. Actual performance varies based on rider weight, terrain type, road conditions, and ambient temperature. Fuel quality also affects performance — always use 87+ octane fresh gasoline. Riders near or above the 331 lb max load may notice a reduction in top speed and acceleration. Estimated 65–70 MPG fuel economy varies with riding conditions. Do not expect maximum rated performance in all real-world riding conditions.

6 · Storage

For long-term storage (30 days or more), drain the fuel tank — even with EFI, old fuel can damage injectors and degrade fuel pump performance. Disconnect the 12V starter battery if storing for more than 60 days to prevent discharge. Store the vehicle indoors in a dry, temperature-stable environment, covered to protect from dust. Before returning to service after extended storage, inspect all bolts, tire pressure, brake function, and battery charge level.

7 · Safety & Rider Requirements

This vehicle is designed for riders age 18 and older. A motorcycle license or motorcycle endorsement is required to operate this vehicle on public roads — requirements vary by state; most states require a Class M license for a 168.9cc moped. IMPORTANT: This vehicle is NOT CARB certified and cannot be legally sold, registered, or operated in California. Always wear a properly fitted, approved helmet and appropriate protective gear — helmet is not included. Maximum weight capacity is 331 lb and must not be exceeded. Top speed of 55+ MPH is not suitable for sustained highway use.

8 · Break-in Period

We recommend a break-in period for the first 3–5 hours (approximately 300 miles) of riding. During this period, avoid sustained full-throttle operation and vary your speed to allow the engine and drivetrain components to seat properly. After break-in, perform an oil change and re-inspect and re-tighten all bolts. A properly completed break-in reduces early wear and extends the vehicle's service life.

FAQ
What warranty is included with the Tank 200 EFI?
The X-PRO Tank 200 EFI includes a Limited Warranty: 1 Year on the frame (structural manufacturing defects), 90 Days on non-wear mechanical parts (manufacturing defects), and 90 Days on the starter battery. This is significantly longer than the 30-day parts warranty offered by most competing brands. Wear items (tires, brake pads, drive belt, bulbs) and damage from accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modifications are not covered. Full warranty details available at xprousa.com/pages/warranty-policy.
Can this moped be sold or registered in California?
No. The X-PRO Tank 200 EFI is not CARB (California Air Resources Board) certified and cannot be legally sold, titled, or registered in California. It is EPA and DOT approved for street use in the other 48 contiguous U.S. states only.
Do I need a motorcycle license to ride the Tank 200 EFI?
Yes. The Tank 200 EFI has a 168.9cc engine, which is classified as a motorcycle in most U.S. states and requires a motorcycle endorsement or motorcycle license. Specific requirements vary by state. We strongly recommend checking with your local DMV before purchasing. Some states may also require motorcycle liability insurance.
What is the difference between EFI and a carburetor on a moped?
EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection) uses sensors and an ECU (Engine Control Unit) to precisely measure and deliver fuel for every engine cycle. Benefits over carburetors: (1) Reliable cold-weather starting — no manual choke or priming. (2) Better performance at high altitudes — automatically adjusts fuel for thinner air. (3) More consistent throttle response — smoother acceleration. (4) Lower maintenance — no carburetor jets to clean or tune, no float bowl to drain. (5) Better fuel efficiency — optimized air-fuel ratio at all conditions. EFI engines may cost more upfront but typically have lower long-term maintenance costs.
Competing mopeds say 62-68 MPH but the Tank 200 EFI says 55+ MPH. Is this moped slower?
Not necessarily — the difference is in how top speeds are reported, not necessarily actual real-world performance. Our 55+ MPH figure is a conservative, honest minimum under standard conditions. Many competitors label optimistic figures (62–68 MPH) under ideal conditions with lightweight test riders. In real-world city commuting, typical riding speeds are 25–45 MPH where all 200cc EFI mopeds perform similarly. If top speed is your primary concern, note that most city roads have speed limits of 35–45 MPH, making 55+ MPH more than sufficient for the vast majority of riding scenarios.
What does the small windscreen do? Is it effective?
The small windscreen mounted on the front of the Tank 200 EFI deflects airflow from the rider's upper body during riding. It is not intended to provide full body protection (like touring motorcycle fairings) but is effective at: (1) Reducing direct wind pressure on the chest and arms at commuting speeds (25–45 MPH), decreasing fatigue on longer rides. (2) Providing a partial barrier against light rain splash and road debris at slower speeds. (3) Reducing wind noise around the rider's head area. At higher speeds (55+ MPH), a small windscreen provides limited protection, which is appropriate for a commuter moped intended for city use.
What are the handlebar guards for?
The handlebar guards are protective covers on both handlebar ends that serve multiple purposes: (1) Hand impact protection — reduces injury risk from accidental handlebar contact or low-speed falls. (2) Wind chill protection — deflects wind from the back of your hands during cold-weather riding, improving comfort. (3) Debris protection — reduces splash and road grime on your hands in wet conditions. The guards do not interfere with normal operation of brake levers, throttle, or handlebar controls.
How large is the fuel tank and what is the estimated range?
The Tank 200 EFI has a 1.85-gallon (~7 liter) fuel tank — approximately 47% larger than the 1.26-gallon tanks found in most competing 200cc mopeds. Based on the confirmed 65–70 MPG estimated fuel economy, range is approximately 130–165 miles per full tank at typical commuting speeds. Actual range depends on rider weight, terrain, riding style, and ambient conditions.
How difficult is assembly?
The Tank 200 EFI ships 85% pre-assembled. Components to install: front wheel (intermediate difficulty — align brake caliper carefully), front fender, front panel and protective bracket, exhaust heat shield, small windscreen, left rear shock absorber bolt, steering column bolt, handlebar guards, double stand, rearview mirrors, and battery connection. Estimated assembly time: 45–60 minutes with basic hand tools (10mm/12mm/14mm sockets, 10mm/14mm/17mm wrenches, 6mm hex key, screwdrivers). Step-by-step installation video at https://youtu.be/qWIDGPruf7Y.
Why is the Tank 200 EFI priced at $1,329.95 when some competitors cost less?
The X-PRO Tank 200 EFI includes several premium features not found in lower-priced competitors: (1) EFI Electronic Fuel Injection with ECU control for reliable all-weather starting — competitors at lower price points use carburetors that require more frequent maintenance and struggle in cold or high-altitude conditions. (2) Factory-installed small windscreen — reduces wind fatigue on daily rides, not standard on competing models. (3) Standard handlebar guards — hand protection on both ends, rare at this price point. (4) X-PRO 90-day parts and 1-year frame warranty vs. competing brands' 30-day warranty. (5) 1.85-gallon fuel tank — approximately 47% more capacity than typical 1.26-gallon competitors. When you factor in lower maintenance from EFI, better range, and longer warranty coverage, total ownership cost is competitive.
Is the Tank 200 EFI available with a rear storage trunk?
No. The Tank 200 EFI (MC-P009) does not include a rear storage trunk. The vehicle includes under-seat storage accessed via the ignition key. We do not currently sell a compatible trunk accessory, but customers can source aftermarket trunks compatible with this model. If rear cargo storage is a high priority, we recommend considering other models in our X-PRO lineup that include trunk accessories — for example, the X-PRO Capri 150.
What oil and fuel should I use?
Use 10W-40 4-stroke motorcycle oil. For the EFI engine, perform the first oil change after 300 miles. Use regular unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum per the owner's manual). The EFI system is calibrated for standard gasoline — do not use 2-stroke oil or E85 / high-ethanol blends. Avoid pouring carburetor cleaners or aftermarket fuel additives into the tank — they can damage the EFI injectors. Keep the tank full when starting for the first time.
When will I receive the MSO and title documents?
The Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) and Bill of Sale are mailed separately via USPS after your moped ships. Do not register or title the vehicle before receiving and inspecting the package. If you have not received the documents within 2–3 weeks of delivery, contact X-PRO support at xprousa.com/pages/contact-us.
My moped will not start — what should I check?
For an EFI moped, follow this specific checklist: (1) Verify the fuel tank has fresh gasoline at the correct fill level. (2) Check that the kill switch on the handlebar is in the RUN position. (3) Ensure battery terminals are secure (red = positive, black = negative). (4) Retract the side stand — many EFI mopeds cut the engine when the stand is deployed. (5) Turn the key to ON and wait 2–3 seconds for the ECU to initialize before pressing the starter. (6) If the engine cranks but does not fire, check the fuel line connections to the injector. (7) Contact X-PRO customer support for a remote video diagnostic call — our U.S.-based technicians can assist with EFI-specific issues.
Is this moped suitable for two riders?
No. The Tank 200 EFI is designed as a single-rider vehicle. Carrying a passenger would exceed the maximum load capacity for most riders and significantly compromises handling and braking performance. For safe operation, always ride solo.
